How am I Supposed to Sleep Tonight?

I am intrigued but deep down I want to know where my BLT vending machine is.

Or the coffee vending machine
Tony — Mon, 03/16/2009 - 7:02amAmazing how often when I am doing the setup the night before I'll forget either the water, the coffee, or to push the timer button.
Oh, ok - maybe not so amazing.
Coffee maker
Carol — Thu, 03/19/2009 - 9:57amTony,
I've got one better. I set mine up in the evening as well. I add the water to the well using my coffee cup. Not once, but twice, I've forgotten to put the coffee carafe under the spigot. It's still sitting in the dish drainer. Mine is not an auto-start, but I stumble out in the morning and have to push the start button. I could blame in on the fact that it's dark and I don't turn on the light. Anyway, that's a fun mess to clean up, especially since my until sits on the counter where my stove-top is and the coffee runs through that and even into the top drawer of the shelf beneath. -carol, Dana's mom
And then there is winter air conditioning . . .
Tony — Thu, 03/19/2009 - 7:51pm. . . as in when you stumble out in the dark, flip the switch on the thermostat, and settle down with the coffee to warm the toes and awaken the mind.
Except that in the morning fuzziness it was the AC switch, of course.
What happened to the homes of the future forecast in the optimistic '50's that would massage us, walk the dog, then wheel us out to a perfectly and automatically prepared meal?!
Too scary. I guess we'll stick with the human element, and suffer with the occasional coffee mess and icicles on the toes, in favor of the human touch - like that fantastic pizza Katie produced on one of those crumby BBQs - a BBQ!! - at Eagle last summer.
