TR6 Chronicles - Blasphemy Averted

Tony — Mon, 01/25/2010 - 8:21pm
Moving on through the fuel system, I pulled the fuel pump last night, intending to replace it with a new one I had on hand. I unwrapped the new one, and although it was smaller it seemed made well, sufficient to its purpose, and certainly shinier.
But upon additional inspection, it appeared that while the original of course had been manufactured in England, the projected replacement had been born in Italy!
A rebuild kit for the original is now on order.

Sebastian — Tue, 01/26/2010 - 6:20amGood on you for not trying to put that one past a prospective buyer.
Organ Rejection
Tony — Tue, 01/26/2010 - 3:12pmNo doubt the Italian fuel pump would have failed like a human organ transplant from an incompatible donor, after a long period of decline and untraceable symptoms, possibly resulting in permanent damage to the car's psyche.
