Notes
Uncle Lou[1] married Aunt Laura, Laura Corns who grew up in Watertowen
Ohio, daughter of Leander Corns. Aunt Laura died in about 1980. Uncle
Lou died in about 1978. Uncle Lou was a salesman in his younger
years, a traveling salesman selling for a wholesale grocery company.
Then they went back to the farm, and farmed about a 90 or 100 acre
piece for many years until the depression came along, and they moved
into Marietta Ohio where he started to sell life insurance. Things
still weren't too good, and they finally moved up to Detroit, where he
worked in a box factory until he contracted Hodgkins disease and lost
his strength and subsequently died. By that time they were living in
Florida, however, near their son Glenn. They had two children, Ruth
who now lives in Denver, and Glenn who lives in the Miami, Florida
area. Leander Corns, Aunt Laura's father, was a cabinet maker in
Watertown, and Tony has a pedastal flower stand which he made for my
mother as a wedding present many years ago.
