Notes

The earliest listing we found for a Mundling is Nicolaus, father of Georg Nicolaus Mundling. There is no birth listing, only a reference to page 1360 of the Familienblatt, the family record. Nicolaus is listed as "Kurasier-Reiter unter Lobl. Gronsfeltischen Regt.", a mounted soldier with the Gronsfelt Regiment. (There is a Grunsfelt northeast of Heidelberg, but no references to any Gronsfelt has yet been found). A handwritten reference under the corrected spelling of Gronsfeltischen is "s. Ehebuch 1723", (Marriage book 1723). There is no history of Nicolause yet uncovered. His birthdate and birthplace are as yet unknown. The only child listed is his son, Georg Nicolaus Mundling.

BIO:Charles Edmund Ward[1] Youngest child of James B. and Enice (Hawes) Ward Born near Wilmington, Clinton County, Ohio, May 22, 1857. Began the printing trade in Xenia, Miami county, Indiana, now Converse, at the age of fourteen years on the Xenia Gazetta, published by Dr. R. K. Robinson. Now publishing the Buckeye Hub Gazette, Union City, Ohio, since October 19, 1926. From fourteen years to seventy in the printing trade, "My Only School the Printing Office." Father moved to Xenia, Miami county, Indiana, in the year 1859. Died in the spring of 1861. The writer then only four years of age. A widow, four children and the Civil War.
